Last Thursday night the annual Shake It Up “Cocktails for Parkinson’s” celebration took place at the Diageo Headquarters in Sydney. Guests were treated to an engaging information session about two of the world’s premium Vodka brands; Smirnoff and Ketel One – followed by an amazing array of cocktails.
Throughout the night our guests rubbed shoulders with sporting celebrities, Andrew (Joey) Johns, Eric Grothe Jnr and Eric Grothe Snr who also participated in a Q&A session, sharing some entertaining stories of their time in the game. Shake It Up are grateful to have these three legends as part of our team and we thank them for their ongoing support.
Events like this would not be possible without the significant support of our corporate partners. Huge thanks must go to Diageo for hosting the event at their magnificent HarBar. Not only did guests take in spectacular views of the Harbour but they enjoyed beautiful cocktails prepared by Diageo’s amazing team of mixologists.
The night also saw a raffle and auction which raised over $6000. This would not have been possible without the donation of prizes. These included:
- a range of perfumes and makeup donated by Coty Inc;
- a Roar & Snore experience from Taronga Zoo;
- accommodation in Berry;
- a weekend at Jupiters Casino thanks to Jupiters Hotel & Casino and;
- a very special piece of signed sporting memorabilia featuring the “Top 5 NRL Entertainers” donated by and featuring Andrew Johns.
