Golden Eagles Golden Donation
Wednesday, 2nd September 2015

Last Thursday 27 August saw the Manly Golden Eagles tee off for Shake It Up Australia.

The rain held off for most of the day, with Manly Sea Eagles Greats joining fellow golfers for a round for a cure. Shake It Up CEO Ben Young joined Shake It Up Event Manager Melanie Smith as they prepared mojito’s for the players with donations for each drink going towards Shake It Up.

The event continued into the evening as Shake It Up Founder Clyde Campbell joined the Golden Eagles boys at dinner, sharing his story and the importance of being able to fund Australian Parkinson’s research.

Golden Eagles Golf Day Event Manager Josh is pleased to reveal that over $5,000 was raised for Shake It Up.

The Manly Golden Eagles were formed mid 2014 as a players’ association established with the aim of giving back to the Manly Sea Eagles club, players and fans alike. Reaching all the way back to the inaugural 1947 season, the association brings every ex-player from Manly together again at the club.
