Make a Tax Deductible Donation to Parkinson’s Research

There’s still time to take advantage of the tax benefits associated with making a donation to charity before the 30 June. As the leading funders of Australian Parkinson’s research across multiple institutes we are committed to making a difference. We guarantee that 100% of your donation will fund strategic Parkinson’s research aimed at slowing the progression of the disease and ultimately a cure.   We are also able to accept donations from Private Ancillary Funds.

Your donation will be directed to our Linked Clinical Trials project at the Brain & Mind Centre at Sydney University. Chief Investigator, Professor Simon Lewis and his team will trial four drugs and one placebo in patients with more established Parkinson’s as well as validating disease biomarkers that could be used to evaluate the efficacy of future therapeutic treatments. This approach would be an international first and importantly will set Australia on a path of conducting further studies which we hope will bring new treatments to slow Parkinson’s into clinical practice.

Australia Researchers Parkinson's disease

This is vital research that really has the potential to slow the progression of Parkinson’s but we need your support now to ensure we can fully fund this research.

100% of your donation will fund Parkinson’s research as the founding directors continue to personally cover all administration costs of the foundation. In addition, most of the projects we support are funded on a 50/50 basis with The Michael J. Fox Foundation which means that we are effectively able to double the reach of the funds we raise.

Please donate before the 30 June.

From all of us at Shake It Up thank you for your continuing support!
