Moltoni Family Unite for Parkinson’s

The Moltoni family are a powerhouse unit all fundraising together this year to support their brother who has been diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s. They’ve already managed to raise over $5,500! We spoke to Hannah Moltoni about all the family are doing this year for Pause 4 Parkinson’s.

My cousin, Olivia, really got the ball rolling. She heard about Pause for Parkinson’s month and started planning an event and then more family members and friends jumped onboard! They have all put in so much work, training, walking around with tins, all the work that goes into putting on an event, getting amazing raffle prizes!

They’re all in Perth and I’m in Sydney so I’ve really just come on a few weeks ago doing what I can on social media and I’ll mc the event.

Previously, my brother, Chas Moltoni, did a marathon and raised over $10,000. We did donations instead of gifts for our wedding and raised around $5,000, and my mother-in-law did an arts and crafts fundraiser called Hearts for Parkinson’s which raised $5,500.

Currently, we are doing a head shave, relay swim and quiz night.

Greatest Reward

Feeling like we are doing something to help instead of feeling helpless and powerless watching someone we love suffering

Best advice for people looking to Shake It Up?

Just do it!! It’s not as complicated and overwhelming as it seems once you get started and you’ll be surprised by how many people want to get involved. Every bit helps!

If you’d like to support the Moltoni Family check out their events and see their progress.
