Pause 4 Parkinson's - April 2020
Due to COVID-19 we have made some changes to the way we deliver our Pause 4 Parkinson’s campaign this year as it will be no longer possible for our community to host fundraising events. We have been so inspired by our community to adapt to this changing situation and get creative with their fundraising. Here are just a few stories.
- Kitty and Stephen’s Shuffle for Parkinson’s in Kingscliff is now a virtual event and you are welcome to join
- Mick actioned off his beard after he was advised by his boss that new requirements meant he would have to shave it off.
- Long time supporters Debbie and Roger Clark normally host a Curry night for their friends and family but this year they cooked up their curry for everyone to purchase as a takeaway
Start your virtual fundraising event this April and connect with your friends and family to help raise funds for Parkinson’s research. Being in social isolation has opened up lots of new ways of connecting. If you need some advice, email our Community Fundraising Manager Isobel who can help bring your idea to reality.
We would like to acknowledge and thank everyone who has supported the campaign so far and in particular a big thank you to all of our sponsors for their valued support. We hope that you can continue to support the foundation and our quest to find better treatments, ways to slow and stop progression and ultimately a cure.
