Pause 4 Parkinson's - April 2020
We may all be restricted in getting our friends and family together for a Pause 4 Parkinson’s event this year but there are still some great ways you can get involved and connect with loved ones (virtually of course) to raise awareness and funds for research. We have been so inspired by our community to adapt to this changing situation and get creative with their fundraising. Here are just a few inspiring stories.
- Kitty and Stephen’s Shuffle for Parkinson’s in Kingscliff converted their event to a virtual run/walk
- Mick actioned off his beard after he was advised by his boss that new requirements meant he would have to shave it off.
- Long time supporters Debbie and Roger Clark normally host a Curry night for their friends and family but this year they cooked up their curry for everyone to purchase as a takeaway
Start your virtual fundraiser this April and connect with your friends and family to help raise funds for Parkinson’s research. Being in social isolation has opened up lots of new ways of connecting. If you need some advice, email our Community Fundraising Manager Isobel who can help bring your idea to reality.
We would like to acknowledge and thank everyone who has supported the campaign so far and in particular a big thank you to all of our sponsors for their valued support. We hope that you can continue to support the foundation and our quest to find better treatments, ways to slow and stop progression and ultimately a cure.
