This week’s Shake It Up Hero is running for his Papa as part of Team Quinn in South Australia’s City to Bay.
1. What Drives Your Commitment to find a cure for Parkinson’s?
My Papa. I love him. He is a really funny man, he makes up the funniest jokes like “Where do you weigh a whale? – At a whale-weigh station’ and he loves me. Some days my pop is in lots of pain and he has trouble moving and he walks all shuffley. It makes me sad and it’s not fair. I am glad we can do something that might make things better for him and other people with Parkinson’s disease.
2. Why Shake It Up Australia?
My mum says Shake It Up Australia is the best way we can make a difference because ALL the money goes straight into research, and only really good research.
3. Tell us what you are doing to Shake Things Up?
I am going to be a part of Team Quinn. We have a really big team now, it gets bigger every year. I am going to do 3km of the Sunday Mail City to Bay. I love to run.
4. Greatest Reward?
I love to run, but the BEST thing is eating sausages with all the people in our team at the end. It’s like a picnic party and everyone is happy. My Papa is at the end when we get there.
5. Best advice for people looking to Shake It Up?
Make a team like ours, or JOIN OUR TEAM. It is fun with lots of people.
