Ellie Goodwin

Ellie Runs for Parkinson's in the City2SurfI have always looked up to and been inspired by Michael J Fox and by the work of Shake It Up Australia Foundation. After participating in a recent clinical placement in a cardiac rehab for my studies I had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman with Parkinson’s and I wanted to support him and everyone else by raising money as part of my participation in The 2017 City2Surf.

Please help me help them by giving whatever you can. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

Fiona Morsink Ryan and Family

I was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s disease last year. I want to do something positive to help find a cure for the 80,000 Australians who live with this degenerative brain disease. My family and I are participating in the 2017 City to Surf to support Shake it Up . 100% of the funds raised go towards research – no administration costs are deducted, so every cent you give goes towards finding a cure!
Thank you so much for helping me make a difference! We appreciate your generosity and support.

To keep the memory of my father alive, and honour the courage that he showed over the last 14 years battling Parkinson’s Disease, I am again doing the City 2 Surf to help find a cure for this horrible disease.

Please support me to help raise funds for the Shake It Up Foundation, where 100% of all money raised goes directly to funding research for a cure. My dad and I appreciate every bit that you can afford, it is going to a great cause.

YOU could be the one that helps find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease! THANK YOU for your support, and to all those special people who have given so generously every single year!

Juliette Ly

Juliette runs for Parkinson's in the City2SurfEarlier this year, my mother – who is one of the greatest people I know, so generous and full of energy – has been diagnosed at 56-years old with Parkinson’s. This has been a complete shock to the whole family as it is currently an INCURABLE disease that touches 80,000 Australians and more than 10 million people worldwide.

To support my mum, my husband, and I (along with our 7-month old son in his stroller!) are taking part in the City2Surf, to raise money for Shake It Up Australia Foundation. We picked this charity because 100% of the donations go directly to research to help find a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means so much to us!

Kellie Moraghan

Kellie runs for Parkinson's in the City2SurfThis year I’ve decided to raise money with SHAKE IT UP. I’m inspired by the work of Shake It Up Australia Foundation and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in the city 2 surf. Please help me raise money towards this cruel chronic disease and find a CURE!

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition that affects people from all walks of life. There is currently no known cure. Symptoms of Parkinson’s usually develop slowly and gradually progress over time.

It doesn’t matter how big or small the donation is hopefully it will help find a cure. Your generosity means a lot!
