Our hero this week wanted to make a difference to future generations. Tony was a former research scientist and now lives with Parkinson’s. He has written a short memoir “My Journey with Parkinson’s” and to launch this Tony is hosting an event in our Pause 4 Parkinson’s campaign on Sunday 22nd April.
What drives your commitment to find a cure for PD?
As a former research scientist, I am always curious about making the world better. If possible I do not want future generations suffering from a disease over which they have no control. It would be great if these diseases could be eradicated!
Why Shake It Up Australia?
I am very impressed by your operations and the way you convey stories to the public, be it via social media, events or other means.
What are you doing for Shake Things Up For P4P?
I have written a book (a short memoir) about my journey, including my DBS surgery and beyond. I have decided to launch it during P4P, and in the same month as World Parkinsons Day.
Contributing to raise awareness of PD in the community, hence creating a portal for OTHERS to become involved in finding a cure.
Best advice for people looking to Shake It Up?
