The prestigious Dr. Rana International Parkinson’s Community Service Award honours and recognises outstanding individuals who are committed to improving the quality of life of individuals with Parkinson’s disease.
The award states: ‘the tireless dedication and hard work of these individuals not only makes a difference in the quality of life of individuals with Parkinson’s disease but also helps caregivers to better cope with stress and ease the burden of taking care of their loved ones. By recognizing those individuals who inspire others, World Parkinson’s Education Program’s dedication for community service continues through the work of others.’
“What a wonderful privilege to be nominated and to be part of such a worthy group of winners! No award stands alone and this acknowledgement highlights the team approach and philosophy that we have here at Parkinson’s WA. This award is not limited to one person but to the great emphasis on education that the association has as its core.” – Janet McLeod
