Robyn Treks Tuscany to support her husband
Saturday, 9th November 2019

Our hero this week is Robyn who is taking on our Tuscany Trek for Parkinson’s next year to support her husband, Stephen, living with Parkinson’s.

Robyn and Stephen have been supporting Shake It Up for many years now through various fundraisers. Stephen has run in the Melbourne Marathon for Shake It Up, as well as donating the profits from surfboard beach bars he’s been crafting. Together with his daughter Kitty, Stephen will also be hosting the ‘Shuffle for Parkinson’s’ next year.

We spoke to Robyn about her hopes for the Tuscany Trek and the exciting challenges that lay ahead.

What drives your commitment to a cure for Parkinson’s?

Hopefully to find a cure in our lifetime

What inspired you to take on the Tuscany Trek?

I’ve always wanted to go to Tuscany I’m going with like minded people as my husband can’t travel and I’m into fitness and walking and saw this as a great opportunity to combine all three.

What are you looking forward to most about the trip?

Trekking through somewhere I’ve always dreamed of going and never ever thought I’d have the opportunity.
