Natasha Lights It Up for Parkinson’s
Thursday, 7th January 2016

Our Shake It Up Hero is Natasha, who for the second year running, lit up her house with a beautiful array of Christmas lights all to raise money for Shake It Up!

What Drives Your Commitment to find a cure for Parkinson’s?

Watching my father struggle every day with Parkinson’s. At this time of his life, he should be enjoying his retirement not worrying about medication regimes and not being able to drive or care for himself.

Why Shake It Up Australia?

I believe they play a huge part in research not just for a cure but into medications and utensils to assist people already suffering from Parkinson’s.

Tell us what you are doing to Shake Things Up?

Every year I put up a large Christmas light display and we sit outside at night to collect donations for Shake It Up!

Greatest Reward?

The smile on my dads face when he sees the light display.

Best advice for people looking to Shake It Up?

Give it a go even if it’s just $1 that could be the $1 that funds the cure.
