Ocean Grove locals braved the Winter weather once again to support the Light of Day Australia Winter Gigs fundraising event. Now in its fourth year, the event was a fantastic success with over $20,000 raised for those living with Parkinson’s.

For the event, four cafes along the main street of Ocean Grove are turned into impromptu music venues for a weekend, with ticket sales for gigs at the respective venues going straight to the cause.

This year, Ocean Grove institutions the Piping Hot Chicken and Burger Grill, the Olive Pit, Maggie’s Bar and Driftwood Cafe were all on board.

The headline act for this year’s Winter Gigs weekend was three-time ARIA award winner Michael Spiby of the Badloves. Other acts include Julie Walter, Jimi Hocking, Dreamboogie and Dirty Soul.
