Dave shares his Parkinson’s Story
Wednesday, 7th April 2021

Thanks to the support of Veritas Events, we are so pleased to present to you a new series of videos about Parkinson’s stories. The first two in this series were from our incredible ambassador, Phoebes Garland and Robert Garland. Then we heard from Jim Josephsen and his daughter, Sarah.

This week, we are hearing from Dave Cox, who completed a huge walk from Sydney to Dubbo in 2019, raising over $32,000 for Shake It Up in the process. This year, he’s signed up for the Bay of Fires trek with Shake It Up.

Of his journey, Dave said, “Five years ago, I became one of 200,000 people in Australia living with Parkinson’s disease.

Recently retired at 58, I was fortunate to grow up on the beautiful northern beaches of Sydney where I lived for much of my life.”

Hear more about his journey below.
