Professor Peter Silburn AM – Neurologist, Neurosciences QLD
Professor Silburn is an internationally renowned Neurologist; he has played a strong role in clinical research, involving the neurodegenerative disease processes of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. He is a world expert in treating neurodegenerative disorders, like Parkinson’s disease, using DBS. Professor Silburn was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2013 Australia Day Honours for significant service to medicine as a neurologist, particularly in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
Associate Professor Terence Coyne – Neurosurgeon, BrizBrain & Spine
Associate Professor Terry Coyne is a prominent Neurosurgeon, with particular interests in cerebrovascular surgery, skull base surgery and spinal surgery. Associate Professor Coyne has a special interest in movement disorder surgery, including thalamotomy and DBS.
